Theses are lash extensions that are bonded to each individual natural lash using a waterproof adhesive formulated specifically for eyelash extensions. They are considered semi permanent, because our own natural lashes grow in a cycle and shed off when they reach maturity. As the natural lash sheds, so will the extension that is bonded. They will fall off together.
We us our own premium label Masquerade Lashes manufactured specifically for us. These enhance the beauty of the natural eye in different ways. You can choose from different looks as for example, Natural or Dramatic. All our lashes are made of synthetic fiber, meaning they are hypoallergenic, Vega and cruelty free.
Eyelash extensions is a relaxing process, which takes an average of 2hours-3 hours for a full set application, depending on which type of application you choose. Extensions refills are 60-90 minutes. Each application has allocated different time slot, depending on the fullness.
Eyelash extensions last an average 3-5 weeks as a result of proper aftercare maintenance. To maintain your eyelash at their best, we do recommend a refill between 2-3 weeks from the previous application. After 4 weeks time, we will require a full set appointment.
NO! The application is a very relaxing process and is never painful. Almost all our clients fall asleep during the treatment.
Unfortunately , if you already had an allergic reaction, it is very likely that you will have it again.
No. From my own previous experience, sensitive glue does not dry quickly and can slow down the application time drastically and becomes sticky and gooey during the process. I prefer not to use sensitive glue.
Eyelash extensions DO NOT make your natural lashes fall out. Your lashes go through a life cycle and can average 60 days, sometimes longer and sometimes less. Genetically each individual eyelash is programmed to reach a certain length (3/8 of an inch on average), then fall out and then re-grow a new lash.
YES! After 24 hours you can go swimming with your extensions, work out and still enjoy your normal everyday activity because the extension adhesive becomes waterproof.
Some people worry that the eyelash extensions are causing their natural lashes to fall out when they see the eyelashes attached to the extensions. Eyelash extensions are designed to stay on your lashes until your natural lash sheds off naturally, so when you see an extension come out with one of your lashes on it, don't worry, that's exactly what is supposed to happen, unless of course if you catch the extension and pull it off prematurely.
NO. Eyelash extensions come in various thickness and lengths and curls. If you have naturally long, thick and healthy lashes, then your lashes can handle almost every thickness available. If you come in with very short and thin or brittle lashes, your natural lash will not be able to hold the weight of thick lashes and will cause your natural lashes to fall out prematurely. Extra thick extensions should only be used occasionally and be removed within a day or two. Not for long term wear.
Since we order directly from the manufactures and not from retail distributors, we are able to design every aspect of our eyelash extensions. With the growing demand from our clients, we have increased our eyelash extensions inventory to include curl types B, C, CC, D, DD, L and thicknesses of .03, .05,.10, .15, .20, .25, .30 and our length collection comes in full range of 8mm, 9mm, 10mm, 11mm...all the way up to 18mm, 19mm and 20mm. Yes! We carry 20mm lengths.
With our large selection of extensions to choose from, we are very confident that we can create any style you can imagine. If your idea of style does not exist yet, then bring in your drawing and we will lash to impress!
Some technicians do place them on each and every lash, I don't. I try to avoid putting extensions on baby lashes as this can cause damage if the lash is too young to take the weight. I tend to work with the natural lash cycle so when you return for a fill, your baby lashes would have grown longer and healthier and ready for the new extension. By this time, your old lash would have fallen out and a new baby lash will have begun to grown in its' place. Personally we aim for about 95% coverage.
Single lashes are placed 1 on 1 to your own natural lashes, whereas Russian (also known as 2D, 3D, 4D, 5D, 6D, etc.) are several very fine lashes (usually .03, .05, .07) that are fanned out and placed as a fan on your individual lashes. Since the lashes on each Russian fan are extremely fine, the combined weight of several lashes still equates to the same weight of a single lash.
Also known as Hybrid lash extensions are a mixture of single individual lashes blended with Russian lash extensions.
Eyelash extensions should NEVER hurt. You shouldn't feel anything. If the extensions do hurt, one or more of the extensions may be stuck to your skin or 2 or more extensions are stuck together and is causing a pull. However they should never be applied to the skin and should always be checked to make sure no 2 extensions are stuck together.
There are plenty of lash growth serums on the market that will help strengthen and grow the lashes, however, you will need to use one that is oil free and it really needs to be applied at the base of the lashes on the skin, NOT one the lashes.
Many reports online and in the press about damages caused by lash extensions are mainly due to inexperienced stylist who don't have the level of expertise that a master stylist has. The best stylists in the industry are the ones that come highly recommend by friends or by checking online reviews. Just ask to see their recent work and not stock photos. Expect a thorough consultation and they should be happy to answer and questions that you may have.
There are some differences, in particular, the quality of the lashes. Since I founded Masquerade Lashes in 2015, I have worked with different factories in search of the best quality made synthetic extensions. All my product is handmade to my specifications with our own label and brand and the craftsmanship of the eyelash extensions is top quality.
YES. However, I do not usually recommend bottom lash extensions, because it needs to be performed with your eyes open and so a weaker glue is needed thus releasing heavier fumes that will irritate.
On the flip side, bottom lashes do not last as long as the top lashes and incurs an extra cost which is not necessary. I do recommend a water base mascara to be used on the bottom lashes to give a more balanced look, PLUS it's cheaper!!!
It is highly recommend to avoid putting mascara on your extensions.
1. Applying mascara will clump your extensions.
2. The oil in the mascara will break down the bond.
3. Cleaning the mascara off of your extensions causes a lot of rubbing and will result in prematurely pulling out your natural lashes.
Yes, but they need to be professionally removed with a bonding remover that is compatible with the bond that was used which is why you should go back to your lash stylist. If your attempt to remove them yourself, your risk damaging and pulling out your own natural lashes. Alternatively, you can just leave them to fall out naturally.
NO. If you cut the tip off your extensions, you are cutting away the tapered tip that gives the soft natural appearance and you will be left with a blunt tip.
YES YES YES
They can look very natural and can be achieved with gentle hands and skills of a master stylist, but it starts with knowing exactly what thickness(es), what curl type(s) and what different lengths need to be used. It takes many different types of extensions to create a natural look.
You need to be of legal age of 18 to sign and consent to your own aesthetic services. However, if you're 16 - 18 years, a parent or guardian musts be present during the service treatment and sign a service agreement prior to the application of extensions.
WE DO NOT apply extensions to anyone under the age of 16.
They will gradually fall off. Longevity depends on the quality of the glue used and your own lash cycle. Generally we shed 1-3 lashes a day, so by the 3 week you should have approximately 1/3 of the extensions left.
YES. This is one of the main reasons clients have lash extensions, they want curlier lashes. A experienced lash stylist will know the proper curl type to use on straight natural lashes.
All of our extensions are synthetic and made of PBT. (Polybutylene Terephthalate)
Yes, you can find eyelash extensions made from the furs of Mink, Fox and other furs.
We ONLY work with VEGAN and CRUELTY FREE products.
You CAN NOT use the manual crimp lash curler. You will damage the extensions and most likely pull your own lashes out in the process. However, you can use a heated lash curler.
Low price can mean:
1. low cost, poor quality products
2. lash artist doesn't spend enough time lashing on client and applies less extensions
3. lash artist has recently trained and doesn't have enough work experience
4. some salons offer damaging cluster lashes or do not isolate natural lashes
There are many different reason for cheaper prices.
If you have lost all of your lashes due to cancer treatment, then I'm afraid you cannot have semi-permanent lashes. You need to have your own lashes to and the extensions onto, however, once you have stopped treatment and your lashes have started to grow back, as long as there is something there to attach an extension to, we can certainly make your lashes look longer and fuller. We also recommend the use of a lash serum to help grow your lashes back quicker.
